Carol and Kevin’s engagement session at the TWA Hotel was a nostalgic journey back to the 1960s. The hotel’s mid-century modern design, originally opened in 1962 as the TWA Flight Center, provided an authentic backdrop for their vintage-inspired shoot.
Carol embodied the era in a white, flowy dress that fell mid-shin, complemented by a classic pearl necklace and earrings. Her bright red lipstick and delicate white blusher added to the timeless look. Kevin donned a simple black suit, allowing the elegance of the location and Carol’s styling to shine.
Shooting at the TWA Hotel was seamless; booking a room provided a convenient base for outfit changes. Despite the lively atmosphere, we strategically timed shots and utilized editing to keep the focus on Carol and Kevin. The hotel’s abundant natural light, enhanced by large windows and white walls, resulted in beautifully lit photos.
A standout moment was capturing the couple on an elevated skybridge beneath the iconic retro clock. The symmetry and architecture created a cinematic frame, producing some of the day’s most striking images.
Carol and Kevin’s session was a perfect blend of vintage romance and modern elegance, demonstrating that the TWA Hotel is an ideal location for couples seeking a retro flair in their engagement photos.
