Ellis and John’s wedding at Battello was the perfect blend of elegance, tradition, and pure fun. With its breathtaking waterfront views and sophisticated decor, the venue provided the ideal setting for their summer celebration.
Their first look took place on Battello’s outdoor space, with the Manhattan skyline stretching behind them—a picture-perfect moment before heading into their ceremony. Ellis looked radiant in a simple yet elegant white dress with a long veil, while John’s perfectly tailored black suit gave him a timeless, classic look.
The ceremony was beautifully traditional, held under a white wooden chuppah covered in white flowers. They honored Jewish wedding customs by breaking the glass at the end of the ceremony and later dancing the horah at the reception, surrounded by friends and family lifting them high above the dance floor.
For portraits, we explored the park near Battello, capturing romantic moments in the greenery before using the venue’s scenic waterfront paths. Their vintage taxi getaway car was another amazing backdrop for timeless, stylish photos.
The reception was a true party—the dance floor was packed all night with guests who brought nonstop energy. One of the most fun moments? Ellis feeding herself a cherry from the top of their stunning three-tiered cake, showing off her fun and flirty personality.
With a beautiful sunset reflecting in the NYC skyline, their day couldn’t have been more perfect. If you’re looking for a NYC wedding photographer to capture your wedding at Battello—or anywhere in NYC— contact me!
