New York City has always held a special allure for lovers and artists alike. As a NYC Wedding Photographer, I’ve been lucky to photograph countless weddings across this epic city. But nothing quite compares to the magic of a Prospect Park Boathouse Wedding, especially when the couple is as endearing as Annie and Jason!
Annie and Jason: More than Just a Couple
From the very first time I met Annie and Jason for their engagement photos at Summit One Vanderbilt, I was instantly struck by their bond. Their chemistry is palpable, one that resonates with those around them. Being around a couple that so clearly wears their love on their sleeves is truly inspiring. This lovely duo isn’t just in love—they’re best friends.
A Vibrant Day at the Boathouse
On a brilliant summer day, with absolutely fabulous weather, the Prospect Park Boathouse was transformed. The venue was adorned with vibrant floral details, harmonizing seamlessly with the historic architecture of the boathouse. With such perfection, one couldn’t help but be awed by the setting.
Special Moments to Remember
The day had many great moments, but the inclusion of their furry friend, AJ, took the cake! There’s a unique charm that a dog brings to a wedding, and AJ was no exception. I’m just such a huge dog person that meeting a couple’s puppy takes any wedding from great to epic! Annie and Jason’s first dance was a spectacular sight! It was evident that the couple had spent lots of time practicing their dance routine, and their effort resonated with every smiling twirl and step. All thanks to DJ Brent, the dance floor was alive and kicking throughout the night.
A Photographer’s Dream Venue
This wedding was a significant milestone for me personally. Having moved to NYC just a year ago, it was a dream to shoot at the Prospect Park Boathouse. The venue had always been on my radar, and getting to work there, with a couple like Annie and Jason, was beyond fulfilling. Every shot, every angle felt just right, meeting all the high expectations I had envisioned.
A Fun Surprise for the Guests
Adding a sprinkle of fun and luck, Annie and Jason had a special treat for their guests—scratch-off lottery tickets! It was an innovative and fun token, ensuring their special day was etched in the memories of all present.
Reflecting on a Perfect Day
Capturing Annie and Jason’s wedding was not just another day at work—it was an experience, a joyous celebration. Their happiness, combined with the awe-inspiring backdrop of the Prospect Park Boathouse, made it an event to remember. Here’s hoping for many more such beautiful celebrations in the heart of NYC!
