Completed in 1931, the mansion was a promise kept to build a reminiscent chateau of Raincheval if he survived World War I. The property was later transformed into a beacon of unity and understanding by Fonrose Wainwright Condict, honoring her parents and establishing Wainwright House, Inc. in 1951.
